Through sketches, monologues, and original songs, Danielle Ate the Sandwich creates characters who explore hope, identity, friendship, expectation, disappointment, and vulnerability, and creates a world where anything is possible.
Danielle’s performances are an interactive, shared experience,
celebrating what it is to be human.
ABOUT DANIELLE ATE THE SANDWICH
Danielle Ate the Sandwich is the stage name of Danielle Anderson, a singer/songwriter, recording artist, and comedic performer based in Kansas City, MO. As a self taught performer and musician, Danielle grew a fanbase with her DIY videos on Youtube and from touring the US extensively from 2009-2018. Danielle’s songs and performances are a shared experience, celebrating grief, humor and happiness.
Danielle has released eight full length albums of original music. Since 2016, Danielle has hosted The 24 Hour Album, an annual songwriting experiment that brings fans inside the songwriting process, creating an album together in just 24 hours. In 2021, she developed an online songwriting course called ‘Life as a Songwriter,’ teaching adults the art of songwriting.
‘The Greatest Garage Sale Ever’ is Danielle’s first one woman stage show. It combines Danielle’s love of songwriting, and creating and performing in character, debuting at KC Fringe and showing at Denver Fringe.
Danielle was a Charlotte Street Studio Resident (2023-2025) and an ArtsKC Inspiration Grant Recipient in 2024.
